A Journey to India
As many of you may know, I have just returned from a brief two-week trip to India.
This particular trip involved traveling across the countryside, visiting various sacred shrines, and visiting a few of the sites of humanitarian projects supported by Alive and Healthy. Our Foundation provides funds to help children gain access to better education and schooling in some of the poorest areas of India. We feel very privileged to help improve and expand the life of a child.
Here are a few brief photos of my journey.

My travels took me to the ancient city of Banares, one of the oldest cities in the world. Here you see the ancient bathing ghats on the Ganges River in Banares.

In New Delhi we met with Kiran Bedi to tour her project bringing prison reform to India. Dr. Bedi has just returned to India after serving two years as the Civilian Police Adviser at the United Nations. The above photo shows our group at a women's prison that Dr. Bedi has helped completely reform.

At this prison, the children are allowed to stay with their mother until the age of five. In this picture, a staff member is attending to an infant.

The above photo is myself discussing various projects with Dr. Kiran Bedi.

At a village school in rural India, the children turned out in their best clothes to greet us. I also visited schools where I found two or three teachers in charge of a student body of 300-600 students. We hope to create classrooms and bring more teachers to assist these vary dedicated teachers.
Visiting these projects and places first-hand was a very life-changing event. I very much appreciate your continued support of The Alive and Healthy Foundation.
