Radical Self-Esteem Makeover for Girls

4 – 6 pm
Anne Schanz Ph.D.
Blair Lewis, PA
Terri Oswald, MD

Starts: Sunday 3/7

Four week class,
by application only

Application Deadline:
Friday, February 19th

Fee: $400 per person, one 2 hour group session each week for 4 weeks

This is a class for young people who would like to develop leadership skills and the ability to speak their own truth. We are looking for a select group of young people who would like to walk the path of self-discovery similar to what the media portrays with Yoda, Gandalf, Obi Wan Kenobi, Dumbledore, and Merlin. However, we will not be studying fictional characters. We will study the ways of the sages and the most modern research on character development.

The class will teach young people how to develop a brilliant mind, a kind radiant heart and the guts to listen to their own conscience. Most likely, these kids will some day be social-reformers, inventors, great parents, CEO's and Presidents – and some of the nicest people you could ever meet or work for.

"Inner strength, cheerfulness, and noble unselfish
service to others are the basic principles of life."

This guided class will teach you how to use your body, breath and mind to achieve freedom from fear and doubt. If you conquer the world within you, then you have conquered the entire world. Philosophy, meditation, neurophysiology and nutrition will be presented in a manner that supports the goals and direction of each participant.

"To serve others you need inexhaustible wealth
- the wealth of inner strength and insight."

Class Format
This four week class meets once a week. Participants may be invited to continue with our ongoing training program.

Who is invited to apply?

• Mature thinking young people who are at least twelve years of age and less than sixteen years of age. Age exceptions should be noted on your application.
• Kids who still believe in goodness and wisdom.
• Kids who care about our planet and all forms of life.
• Kids who are mature enough to want to know how they can manage their thoughts and feelings with dignity and charm.
• Curious souls, who believe anything is possible.  Some of you may feel like an alien in your school or home; while others, may be leaders of a group; and some are just waiting for a chance to finally step up to the plate.  We want you all to apply!
• You will need to fill out an application with a few short essay questions.
• Limited scholarships may be available.

"Whether my pupil be destined for the army, the church, or the bar, concerns me but little. Regardless of the vocation of his parents, nature summons him to the duties of human life. To live is the trade I wish to teach him. On leaving my hands, he will not, I grant, be a magistrate, a soldier, or a priest. First of all he will be a man; and all that a man ought to be, he can be when the occasion requires it, just as well as any one else can; and fortune will make him change his place in vain, for he will always be in his own."

Insight (inner vision) is something we all seek as a means to solve both worldly and personal problems. If we are lucky, something "comes to our mind" and we have our answer. What if this process could be known and controlled?  What if you could dramatically increase the accuracy of your decisions?

According to yoga science, the brain only knows the knowledge that comes from the senses. Intuitive knowledge does NOT come from the brain. Tonight we will discuss the concepts of light and sound as sources of higher knowledge. Learning how to access your own inner wisdom. Please join us!

We all know that the mind is our greatest asset. However if the mind is not properly cared for it can be our greatest hindrance.
