Old Fashion Yoga
- Sundays 9:00am – 11:00am
- Call for location and to verify class day & time
- due to seminars, class does not meet every Sunday.
This ongoing Sunday morning class is a mixture of lecture, practicum and videos on teaching the comprehensive science of yoga. It is also about fellowship and learning how to deepen one’s own personal practice of yoga, meditation and contemplation, etc.
More than just asana…
This class is based on the direct experience of the teachers as validated by the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as other tantric and yogic texts. This is not an asana based class.
All levels of practitioners are invited to learn proper breathing, releasing tremors and tension, compressing and expanding the space around the vital organs of the chest, abdomen & reproductive areas of the torso, specific pranayama techniques, philosophy, fellowship, diet and join an inspiring environment where meditation and self-reflection (contemplation) can be learned and practiced.
“For subtle injuries, use subtle methods of healing.
The poverty of love is cured with kindness.”
When a dynamic method of how to live life is adopted by one who was previously clueless and helpless, then their entire life experience becomes polarized with purpose and joy, and all difficulties gradually tend to disappear. This is the science of yoga. – Pandit Blair Lewis

“Work hard, but do not let it bind you, do not let work wear you out. Never disconnect yourself from your inner life. Hard work never causes stress – stress comes from the conflicts created by your mind. From your inner conflicted view, suffering comes. Learn to live in the world, yet remain above.”
