About The Alive and Healthy Institute

The Alive and Healthy Institute is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. We were registered in the State of Wisconsin, United States of America on December 27th, 2002 and received our final approval from the Internal Revenue Service on May 23, 2003.

We located in Madison, Wisconsin and have a volunteer board of directors. The Alive and Healthy Institute was founded by Blair Lewis, PA and a group of inspired individuals wanting to improve the life of all people world-wide by building a bridge between science and spirituality. Our main outreach to the global community is accomplished through the distribution of free E-zine newsletters and free eBooks on science and spirituality.

We are a Sacred Link Affiliate™ of the Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

The Corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the "Code"), or the corresponding section of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.  The Corporation shall engage in activities relating to those purposes and shall invest in, receive, hold, use and dispose of all property, real or personal, as may be necessary or desirable to fulfill those purposes.  The net earnings of the Corporation shall be devoted exclusively to those purposes.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of these Articles of Incorporation, the Corporation shall not carry on any activities not permitted to be carried on by (i) a corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code or the corresponding section of any future United States Internal Revenue Law, or (ii) a corporation contributions to which are deductible under Section 170(c)(2) of the Code or the corresponding section of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.

In addition thereto, the primary purposes of this corporation are:

(a)  To make known to its members and people in general the real, syncretic, and harmonious view of world religions and philosophy in terms of modern scientific achievements;
(b)  To undertake research for the all-around ethical, social, economic and spiritual development of humanity;
(c)  To attain world peace, international integration, international understanding, and the spiritual awakening of the human race;
(d)  To teach meditation according to Yoga techniques and the "Sanatana Dharma";
(e)  To offer classes, instruction and services in yoga, meditation, yoga philosophy and comparative philosophy (Eastern and Western), world religions, diet and nutrition, and the systems of health and healing from different traditions of the world.
(f)  To sponsor educational programs;
(g)  To establish and to conduct therapy programs utilizing methods of Yoga and related sciences.
