Common Weight Loss Product Ingredients

Chromium Picolinate: Chromium plays a vital role in the effective metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and protein. It also helps enhance glucose metabolism and suppresses cravings for sweet foods like candy, cake and ice cream.

Garcinia cambogia is the fruit of the garcinia indica tree also known as Brindleberry, grown in southern India. Hydroxycitric acid (HCA), the active ingredient of garcinia cambogia, is synthesized from the rind of the cambogia fruit.

To date, there have been no clinical studies that have shown conclusive proof of Garcinia cambogia as a weight loss product. It is often sold in weight loss supplements in various forms and under various brand names such as Brindleberry Extract, HCA, and the standardized form which is marketed as CitriMax and Citrin.

Carbohydrates
Excess carbohydrates are stored as fat. Carbohydrates are sweets, pasta, vegetables and fruits.
Though carbohydrates are fat free, they are stored as fat. The entry rate of carbohydrates into the blood stream is called the Glycemic Index. If the rate is fast, this will put a huge stress on the pancreas for insulin.

The best choice is slow absorbing carbs. Fiber is what slows down the absorption of the carbs into the blood stream. Thus, fruit and vegetables have the slowest absorption (except for bananas, dried fruit, corn, and carrots) and are the best. Dairy is next. Grains and Starches have the fastest absorption rates.
